Privacy Policy

This explains what information TipFully collects and how it is used.

Guests

When you tip, your payment is handled by Stripe. TipFully never sees or stores your full card number. We receive the tip amount, the time, an optional note you write, and limited payment details from Stripe (such as the last four digits of the card and the payment status) so we can show the tip to the worker and handle refunds.

Workers

We store your name, the business you work for, your tips and, if you provide them, your email and language preference. You enter your identity and bank details directly with Stripe, not with TipFully. If you turn on tip alerts, we store a notification token for your phone.

Businesses

We store the business name, the account owner's name and email, a password (stored only in scrambled, hashed form, never as plain text), team members, rooms and daily room assignments, and tip records.

Information collected automatically

Like most websites, our servers and hosting provider keep basic technical logs: IP address, browser and device type, pages requested and the time. We use these to keep the service running, fix problems and prevent abuse. We do not use analytics or advertising trackers.

Suggestions and bug reports

If you send us a suggestion or bug report, we keep your message, the page you were on, your browser type, which business or worker account it came from, and your email if you choose to give it, so we can fix the problem and reply.

Tax information

When workers set up payouts, Stripe collects the identity and tax details the law requires. TipFully does not receive or store full Social Security or tax ID numbers. When IRS rules require it, a Form 1099-K reporting a worker's tips is issued through Stripe. Workers are responsible for reporting their tip income.

How we use it

Only to run TipFully: processing and showing tips, paying workers through Stripe, preventing fraud, providing reports, and answering support requests. We do not sell personal information and do not use it for advertising.

Who we share it with

We share information only with: Stripe (payments, payouts and tax forms); our hosting provider (to run the website and store data in the United States); the business a worker works for, which sees that worker's tips, notes and payouts; and authorities when the law requires it. Guests' names and card details are never shown to workers or businesses. If TipFully is ever merged or sold, information may transfer to the new owner under this policy.

Cookies

We use one cookie to keep you logged in. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.

Security

All pages use encrypted connections (HTTPS), passwords are hashed, payment and bank details are handled by Stripe, and access to personal information is limited to what is needed to run the service. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information and will notify you if a breach affects it, as the law requires.

How long we keep it

We keep account information while the account is open. After an account closes, we keep tip and payment records for up to 7 years for tax, accounting and dispute purposes, then delete them. Other information is deleted or anonymized when it is no longer needed.

Your choices

You can ask to see, correct or delete your information by emailing support@gettipfully.com. California residents have rights under the CCPA, including the right to know, delete and correct personal information. We keep payment records as long as tax and financial laws require.

Children

TipFully accounts are for adults 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.

Where TipFully works

TipFully is available in the United States, and information is stored in the United States. Our website does not respond to browser "Do Not Track" signals, because we do not track you across other sites.

Changes and contact

We will post updates here with a new date, and tell account holders by email or a notice on the site before any important change takes effect. Questions: support@gettipfully.com.
